More about who I am and what I do
I am married to Bob “Mr. Attitude” Prentice and we live in the small South Dakota town of Wessington. We celebrated 41 years of marriage in November 2019, and on December 26, 2019 we celebrated 30 years in business together.
For the better part of three decades, I have assisted Bob in his speaking and coaching business, employing my creative abilities to design websites, e-newsletters, print newsletters and all of his print marketing pieces, classroom materials, and book layout and design.
Discovering my passion for design, along with a desire to learn new things, led me to doing design work for other businesses and organizations, as well. Each new project has taught me something and increased my skills and creative abilities.
Off and on over the last 15 years, I have worked in a variety of capacities for a local newspaper, which included designing pages and ads, and writing.

Certified Legacy Guide
In writing hundreds of articles for the newspaper, I discovered what I enjoy most is interviewing people for feature stories. The woman celebrating her 100th birthday, the man retiring after 35 years at the bank, the student who went on a missions trip, and the like, are the stories I love hearing and writing about because they always prove to be inspiring and uplifting legacy moments for me. I love that my writing can help people 'shine' as they are recognized for their accomplishments.
That love for hearing and learning from the stories of others, is what led me to becoming a Certified StoryWay Legacy Guide, and now provides me the opportunity to help people share their unique and inspiring stories with their loved ones.
This Life Legacy, allows me to combine what I thoroughly enjoy–design and writing–to help people share their story.
When not working at my computer, I enjoy cooking, gardening, and reading historical fiction and biographies, and traveling with my hubby.
My greatest joy is simply hanging out with my family, who live within a couple of blocks from me. I am blessed to be Mom to three wonderful children (two sons and a daughter) and the most awesome son-in-law one could ask for–and Grandma to two beautiful granddaughters and four handsome grandsons.
